What is fine dust?
Fine dust consists of tiny, often invisible particles that are produced when working with wood, metal, or flour, or during grinding, drilling, and welding.
Possible health effects:
Coughing, shortness of breath, bronchitis
Allergies or asthma
Long-term: chronic lung diseases or pneumoconiosis (“dust lung”)
Strain on the heart and circulatory system
Important:
Fine dust can penetrate deep into the lungs. That is why respiratory protection and regular medical check-ups are especially important.
