Common skin diseases

The skin is the largest organ in the human body and serves an important protective function against the environment. At the same time, it is exposed to numerous strains every day—from external factors such as sun, cold, or chemicals to internal factors like stress or hormonal changes. It is therefore no surprise that skin diseases are among the most common health problems. “Common skin diseases” refers to conditions that occur particularly frequently and affect many people. They range from harmless but annoying complaints to serious illnesses that require medical treatment.

The skin is exposed to various influences every day and reacts particularly sensitively to strains in the workplace. Frequent contact with moisture, chemicals, dirt, or mechanical stress can lead to different skin conditions. Many of these conditions occur regularly and are therefore considered typical occupational skin problems. They range from mild irritations to chronic conditions that can significantly impair work ability.

An overview of common skin diseases highlights the risks involved and explains why consistent skin protection is so important.
